design thinking

Design thinking

Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.
  • Steve Jobs

My definition of design thinking is simple and obvious. Design thinking is the process where one looks on idea to improving a design. It can be on a school, a product, a building, studying spaces, a gym, or a bookstore. Design thinkers can be architects, designers, construction managers. To be a design thinker, you need to first understand what's given to you and think it critically.

We are currently working on design thinking "improve your learning spaces".  Below are some opinions that I have on how to improve learning spaces.
We should have colours like green and red so that we do not feel lazy while studying.
We should have certain facilities which will keep us fresh. They are stated below.

  1. gaming laptops
  2. wireless mouses
  3. leather couches or gaming chairs
  4. floor mat
  5. desks which have LCD's
  6. starbucks and coffee machines
  7. vending machine
  8. ipads instead of books
  9. a parrot that talks back
  10. talk back machine for help
  11. circle arrangement of chairs
  12. a round building
  13. transparent laptops
  14. shorter lessons
  15. smartboard which uses your voice to write
  16. a pen which is connected to your brain and automatically writes down what’s in your brain.
I know that to get all these, it will cost the school a lot of money. So, if these all can't be bought, I say some of these shall be bought and planted in classrooms.
The building structure should be like

Below are some ideal quotes I found to conclude this blog.

design is intelligence made visible.
  • Alina Wheeler
Everything is designed. Few things are designed well.” Brian Reed

Here is a quote by me to round up this Blog.

Math is easy; design is hard. Math can be understood in months or so, but design takes decades to be built and understood.
